No Updates?

It's been quite a long time since I last update this blog. Why?
Some people guessed by sms in my mobile phone. Busy. I answered, not onlybusy. Very busy. And overwhelmed a lot!
Now, I work alone. Being a wife, mom, a daughter, a daughter-in-laws, a friend, a homeschool organizer (I never called myself a teacher, because we learn together and vice versa--sometimes they are the ones who explains, not me!), a cook, a cleaning service team, a laundry attendant and one who is learning to run a simple business!
Yes, I am overwhelmed. But I do ENJOY it all! (These days I learn to schedule and jot down all things I need to organize. That's why I neglected this blog for quite a long time.. despite some of our home member got sick as well!)
Some say I am crazy. Some admire what I do. But I know what I'm doing. I am sowing. When the time comes, I will reap with JOY!
One basic reasons we choose to homeschool our kids is that when we look around, there's more spoiled children rather than tough ones. Most of the kids we meet cannot do the simple household tasks by his/her age. What a pity.
We believe, if we train our kids to do everything by themselves without help, they will grow up with more confidence. The gain more skills than kids who are not allowed to make a mess during learning time.
We decided not to have any helper, not a daily and stay-in one at this moment. We realize that our boys are big enough to help with he chores. Here's the proof.
One day, as I still found difficulties in organizing house cleaning and homeschooling, I forgot (totally) to cook rice! As long as I remembered, there's some left in the fridge. Actually, I already took it out and made fried rice for my hubby breakfast. Then what happen to the hungry boys? The looked for other meals than rice. They drank milk. Then not satistied yet, they decided to cook rice by themselves.
As they already seen me cooking rice everyday, they worked together cooking rice! Clay took a big bowl, Evan took the rice. Clay did the washing, Evan open the water tap. After cleansing rice over, he was busy counting. 4 glasses of rice, 6 glasses of water. They both work under my supervision. I smiled looking at the two young men cooking, while I swept the floor. Clay took a piece of cloth to wipe the outside of the bowl. I put in the plug. That's the only thing I did. When the rice is cooked.. they were sooo proud! They ate a lot that day.

Clay Siram Kebun

Clay juga ikut membantu pekerjaan rumah, salah satunya menyiram kebun.
Awalnya sih serius, tiap pohon disiram, lalu Evan datang bergabung. Katanya sih mau gantian siram kebun, biar Koko gak capek. Tapi hasilnya?
Ampun! Malah mandi berdua di kebun!
Lesson learnt: Jangan suruh siram kebun berduaan, kalo belum waktunya mandi :)

Evan Peres Jeruk

Evan suka membantu pekerjaan rumah.
