After a loooong pause, I started to typing on again on this page.
We skipped a lot of lessons written here, because of so many reasons: health condition, trips, guests around, problems with server (this what looks to be the main reason!)
Anyway, here we are now.
We are learning about frogs. Yuck! A slimmy, woobly, jelly-like creatures which croacks and jumps around. In our front garden, at nights usually we find one ot two toads (not frog) jumping around.
Last week, when we went to Mekarsari and spent two nights at Rumah Pohon there, we looked for tadpoles in the nearby pool. Actually what we found was a tiny frog. It was about 1 cm long. Sadly, after 3 days, it died. We put Freggy (Evan named it himself) in a plastic cookie jar for his temporary house. We planned to observe it for about a week and would let it go in a river near our house. But... :( Evan was pretty sad about it.
Yesterday, we went to a supermarket to buy things we need for our tea party with Joel and Jason. What happened, we bought not only the groceries but also a living Bullfrog! We bought a plastic canister (chose the cheapest one possible!), put it in and brought it home.
This morning, Clay and Evan woke up early since they concerned about X-Frog. They were afraid if the frog die as Freggy because lack of food. After getting up, the three of us cleaned our old aquarium and put the frog in.
Mom put in some waterplants and rocks. Clay took plenty of drinking water (yes, not tap water!) and put it in. Evan did the most horrible job: moved X-Frog to the aquarium from the plastic canister. Ooohh! He did a marvellous job!
I opened the lid of canister, he put his right hand in, and took it out!
Whoa! I was surprised to see his gentle grasp on X-Frog! He didn't squeeze it, but very carefully hold it and put it in its new house. Wow!
Hurriedly, I put the carton box on the top of the aquarium and seal the sides with a broad seal tape. Phew! Nicely done Evan!
Evan didn't want to hurt it by squeezing him because he knows that a frog breathe by its skin. If it is hold too tight for a long time... then game over!
